Meet the Team

Rocky:

Rocky began his automotive career with us in December 2012. Even then, although he was one of the younger members of the team, his skill level and mechanical ability stood out immediately. Like me, Rocky also worked at the same factory where we gained firsthand experience assembling vehicles, giving him a deep understanding of how automotive systems are designed and built from the ground up.

In addition to his automotive background, Rocky served as a technician on large industrial equipment at the factory, where he developed extensive knowledge in hydraulics and electrical wiring. That experience has proven invaluable in diagnosing complex issues and understanding how different vehicle systems interact with one another.

Rocky approaches every challenge with curiosity and confidence. He is never afraid to tackle something new and has a genuine passion for learning. He also takes pride in educating customers and teammates about how systems are supposed to function and what additional components may be affected when repairs are delayed. His ability to see the bigger picture helps prevent small problems from becoming major repairs.

Known as one of the quickest technicians on our team, Rocky is the person we rely on when a job needs to be completed at “Mach speed.” His efficiency, combined with his ability to rapidly absorb new information and adapt to changing technology, makes him an incredible asset to our company.

Although Rocky stepped away from the company for a short time to pursue opportunities on his own, that experience only strengthened his expertise. During that period, he completed corporate-level training with a rapidly growing automotive franchise, gaining advanced technical knowledge and industry experience. He returned to our team with an even broader skill set and has grown into one of the best technicians in Columbia.


Today, Rocky serves as our General Manager, where his leadership, technical expertise, work ethic, and commitment to customer service continue to make a tremendous impact on both our team and our customers.


Drew: 


Drew is an essential part of our team as both our service writer and customer service expert. With many years of experience as both a technician and service writer, Drew brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and professionalism to our business. One of Drew’s greatest strengths is his ability to communicate complex vehicle concerns in a way customers can clearly understand and appreciate. His technical background allows him to accurately explain our technicians’ findings while helping customers feel informed and confident in the recommendations being made.

Drew’s extensive knowledge of tires and suspension systems is exceptional and especially valuable when helping customers understand the safety concerns related to their vehicles. His ability to educate customers with honesty and clarity builds trust and confidence, which greatly enhances the overall customer experience.


Having Drew on our team adds tremendous value to our business through his expertise, communication skills, and commitment to customer care.


Andrew


Andrew is the most experienced mechanic on our team, and his knowledge is truly an incredible asset to our company. My husband first worked alongside Andrew at Ryder when he began his career there, and Andrew played a major role in training Tim on many aspects of the job early on. So when Tim learned that Andrew was leaving Ryder after an impressive 38-year career with the company, he immediately began recruiting him to join our team.

Andrew has been with us since December 2012 and has brought decades of experience, professionalism, and technical expertise to our shop. While he is an exceptional diesel mechanic, his abilities go far beyond diesel repair—Andrew is simply an outstanding mechanic overall. His understanding of vehicle systems and how they are designed to function makes him an invaluable resource, especially when it comes to diagnostics and problem solving.

One of Andrew’s greatest strengths is his attention to detail. He takes tremendous pride in his work and is very particular about doing the job correctly. He also has a unique ability to clearly communicate complex mechanical issues in a way that both our team and customers can understand. Whether he is explaining what caused a problem, how we plan to repair it, or what warning signs to watch for in the future, Andrew always makes sure customers feel informed and confident in the repair process.


His willingness to share his knowledge has also helped strengthen our entire team. Andrew often explains not only why something failed, but how the system is intended to operate, which has helped improve and speed up diagnostics throughout the shop.

Although Andrew currently works with us part time, he remains just as valuable to our team as ever. His experience, dedication, and commitment to quality workmanship continue to make a lasting impact on both our employees and our customers.


Hank:

Hank joined our team several years ago after Tim and I had already spent many years working alongside him at First Student. From the beginning, Hank brought with him an incredible amount of knowledge and hands-on experience, especially when it comes to older vehicles, heavy equipment, and diesel repair.

Hank has built his career on hard work, practical knowledge, and a willingness to tackle just about anything that comes through the shop. His experience with older systems and equipment makes him an invaluable resource, particularly when diagnosing issues that require both technical skill and real-world experience.

One of Hank’s greatest strengths is his attitude toward learning and teamwork. Even with his extensive background, he is always willing to learn new things, adapt to new technology, and continue improving his skills. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge with others, offering tips, tricks, and advice that help jobs move more smoothly and efficiently throughout the shop.

Hank is especially valuable as a mentor to our younger technicians. He takes the time to teach, guide, and encourage them, helping build both their confidence and technical abilities. His patience, experience, and willingness to help others succeed make him an important part of the positive culture we strive to maintain within our team.


We are truly blessed to have Hank as part of our company, and we greatly appreciate the knowledge, dedication, and leadership he brings to our shop every day.


Scott:

Scott came to us about five years ago and has consistently shown a strong willingness to learn new techniques and processes to improve efficiency in daily operations. He is an excellent fabricator who often brings a different perspective that helps minimize costs for both the company and our customers. Scott is always willing to help younger and older team members alike, showing patience and understanding with everyone he works with.

Scott excels in suspension, brakes, and alignment work, but he is capable of handling all types of vehicle repairs and fabrication on both large and small vehicles. What he may not already know, he is always eager and ready to learn.

We see Scott stepping into a leadership role in the near future due to his work ethic, positive attitude, technical abilities, and willingness to support the entire team.


Damien:

Damien has quickly become a valuable addition to our team. Despite being our newest and youngest technician, he brings a strong background in parts along with solid general repair knowledge. Damien consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, strong motivation, and a willingness to learn that stands out every day.

He is a quick learner who stays productive without needing constant direction, showing a high level of self-motivation and initiative. Damien is always eager to expand his knowledge and improve his skills, which has made a very positive impact on our shop culture and team environment.

In addition to his work ethic and technical growth, Damien displays natural leadership qualities. His maturity, drive, and ability to stay focused make him someone we see developing into a future leader within our organization.

Dennis:

Dennis has been a valued friend for more than two decades, and when he came to work with us looking for a very part-time opportunity, we were fortunate to have him join our team.


We are regularly complimented on how clean and organized our shop is, and much of that credit belongs to Dennis. Every morning, before the rest of us even arrive, he spends several hours taking care of the previous day's messes and preparing the shop for a productive start. He ensures that all trash is emptied, the floors are clean, and the entire workspace is organized and ready for the team.


Dennis's dedication, reliability, and attention to detail play a significant role in maintaining the professional environment that our customers and visitors appreciate. His hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed.


We sincerely thank Dennis for his commitment, strong work ethic, and the pride he takes in keeping our shop looking its best. We greatly appreciate everything he does and are grateful to have him as part of our team.
