Tim's Automotive was born from a shared vision of independence and a passion for problem-solving. In 2004, after facing a professional setback, Tim and his wife decided to take control of their future and turn a long-held dream into reality: owning a trusted auto repair shop in Columbia, MO. Tim’s journey with vehicles began in his early teens, working on cars and farm equipment, while his partner developed a knack for understanding how things work and a curiosity that naturally complements the technical side of auto repair.

Over the years, their experience has been diverse. Tim honed his skills as a shop foreman at Ryder Bus and Truck Rental, overseeing complex operations and leading teams efficiently. During this time, his partner balanced multiple jobs while also running a successful e-commerce business. This experience provided critical insights into business management, leadership, and customer service, all of which now benefit the day-to-day operations at Tim's Automotive.
The couple took a brief pause for about 13 months when Tim had the opportunity to work overseas as a QAQC, Quality Control, for G.S.E. Ground support equipment. There, he contributed to quality control on MRAPs and other heavy machinery designed to keep troops safe, a testament to the high standards and precision he brings to every vehicle he works on today.
